Checking network connection

Follow the steps below to show information about the network connection.

Make sure a keyboard is attached to the computer.

Step 1 - Click menu

Click on the start menu.

If the start menu is not visible, move the mouse to the bottom (or click on the Windows key if a keyboard is attached)

Step 2 - Type cmd 
  1. Just start typing and type cmd
  2. When you’ve typed CMD, the applicatjon “Command Prompt” becomes visible. Click on this App.

 

 

Step 3 - Type ipconfig  

A black window appears with some text in it. Type ipconfig in this window and press enter

Step 4 - Take photo   

After pressing enter, some text appears in this window. Take a photo of this window and post it in the Whatsapp app group

Step 5 - type ping 8.8.8.8    

Type in the command ping 8.8.8.8 and press enter. This can take a couple of seconds before it completes. Other text appears in the window

Step 6 - Take photo     

Take a photo of this window with the new text and post it in the Whatsapp app group
